to read and spell at grade level?

This class is intended to support students who have not yet mastered the foundational skills of phonemic awareness, phonics, word study, and spelling typically learned in grades K-3.

​

This multi-sensory class will provide students with explicit, systematic, and sequential instruction.
It will teach students the strategies to independently read and spell words through word analysis.

​

Students will learn all English language letter-sound correspondences, syllable patterns (single and multisyllabic), and common prefixes, roots, and suffixes.
They will also engage in skilled practice with high-frequency sight words (irregular words).

​

This class will help to build the skills necessary to access and master grade-level reading content.
